Valentine Tilda

I've tried something totally new today  -  selfmade roses...
I think they came out pretty well... Like them, even though I don't want to make them for every card as it is too much work and I don't like flowers that much. But I thought they would fit to this card, so I made some.

I really hope that I can get my camera fixed soon... This photos isn't good at all... :-(

Tango

Today I could finally make the card I had in my had for days... I couldn't wait to use that cute tango stamp from the Paper Shelter.

Unfortunately my camera is not working anymore, so I had to use my OLD digi-cam, which really is old... The photo of my card is okay, but not as good as with my beloved camera.

Stamp: "Tango" from The Paper Shelter
Ink pad inwhite
Colours: Polychromos from Faber Castell
Sketch: Hanna and Friends (old challenge)
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities,Magnolia Doohickeys (swirls & leaves), Creatables (flowers)
Punch: Victorian border punch
Papers: blue wrapping paper
Ribbon, glitter, gems, pearls, plain papers and cardstock from my stash.

Favourite song:
My favourite song from PUR, a German band is called "Wenn sie diesen Tango hört" (When she hears this tango). It's about an old lady, that had been a young mother/wife during WW II and is now old and alone as her husband died already and the children moved away. And when she hears this tango, she dances for herself as she loved to dance with her husband... but he's not here to enjoy her retirement with her.

a summer's fairy tale

Today I tried to combine a few different challenges... Bling, hgihtlight something, gems, movie inspiration and use the colours of your national flag.

That's what I came up with:

Stamp: "Queens Cutie" from Kenny K., 2 background stamps from Forever Friends
Sentiment: "Lebe Deinen Traum" unknown stamp company
Colours: Polychromos from Faber Castell, JoyCrafts Decorative Chalks
Sketch: Seems a little Sketchy
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities, Magnolia Doohickey
Soccer ball from Rayher
Ribbon, gems, stickles, plain papers and cardstock from my stash.

Movie Inspiration:
I got inspired by the movie "Deutschland - ein Sommermärchen" (Germany: a summer's fairy tale). A movie about the German national soccer team during the World Championship 2006 here in Germany. It's not only about the soccer team, but also the atmosphere all over Germany. Since that World Championship the Germans wear their national colours with pride again... even though we didn't make it to the World Champion!

Favourite Song:
Usually I am not a soccer girl, but when the fifa World Cup had been here in Germany I had been watching sooo many games. That's also when this song was released: '54 '74 '90 2006.
I know it's a German song and not many of you can understand it, so I will tell you a little about it. The Germans had been soccer world champions in 1954, 1974 and 1990 and as they really wanted to win the championship "at home" the Sportfreunde Stiller came up with that song. It could be downloaded for free and the radios had been playing it all the time. Well, they sing about the team and that it had been a miracle 1954, good luck 1974 and the well earned price 1990 when they won the championship; and they aren't the best technicians when it comes to playing soccer, but they have their heart in their hands and passion in their legs and with that they're going to win...
When Italy kicked our team out in the semifinals, they changed the text over night into '54 '74 '90 2010 and sang about the next oportunity in South Africa. With this song they also welcomed our team in Berlin.

Unfortunately I missed the deadline on the "Colours of your national flag" challenge...
